Admissions

Spectrum dedicates itself to providing the best educational experience for children with various developmental disabilities.
Our admissions process ensures the needs of individual children and provides the correct placement for each child. Students must complete the admissions process found below.

The admissions process is similar for each of the Spectrum Programs. It involves a number of actions including:

  1. The submission of a completed application

  2. Observation of the child in their natural environment

  3. An interview with the family

  4. An in-depth records review

  5. A tour of the facility that includes a program orientation for new families at the beginning of each school year

Referrals and Other Methods to Determine Eligibility of Children for Spectrum Programs

Spectrum Growth is a parent-choice program. This means we accept direct referrals from parents that have the desire to have their child with Autism Spectrum Disorders attend a specialized program to address an integrated academic, behavioral, and social skills program.

Spectrum Growth also accepts referrals from public and private school districts, social service agencies, and other network providers. Students are accepted for placement on a case-by-case basis.

Spectrum is a Safe Space for All Children and Their Families

Spectrum Growth admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin. We do not discriminate against anyone as all have the opportunity to the rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available to students at the school. Furthermore, admission does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarships and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
